FEATURED PROJECT

leOra AI — recovering the plan, not just tracking it

leOra AI — recovering the plan, not just tracking it

A conversational AI companion that helps students absorb a disrupted day, reprioritize what’s left, and take one realistic next step — without guilt.

PROBLEM + CONTEXT

When a day slips, students often abandon their plan instead of reshaping it around their actual time and energy. leOra AI helps them understand what changed, decide what can wait, and move forward with a plan that feels possible.

“The problem isn’t too many tasks — it’s not knowing how to recover when life changes the plan.”

RESEARCH + VALIDATION

01

People restart instead of adapting

When a plan breaks, users abandon the rest of the day and promise to “start fresh” tomorrow.

02

Small tasks quietly pile up

Important work gets attention while smaller, time-sensitive tasks keep being pushed aside.

03

Users want to talk before they act

People need perspective and emotional relief before they can return to their tasks with confidence.

KEY DESIGN DECISIONS

DECISION 01

Conversational recovery, not tracking

leOra listens first, then helps adapt the day instead of nagging about unfinished tasks.

DECISION 02

One realistic next step

The experience surfaces what matters now, what can wait, and one manageable next action.

DECISION 03

Context-aware encouragement

Light, relevant encouragement gives users room to regain momentum without adding pressure.

USABILITY TEST + FINDINGS

Three testers completed the core flow. Everyone understood the experience, but a clear trust concern surfaced: people hesitated to share personal situations with an AI before they understood how that information would be handled.

“I’d use it, but I’d hesitate to share personal things because I don’t know where that information goes.”

TESTER 2, 20 — COIMBATORE

ITERATION + BEFORE / AFTER

MODE+ TONE

Users had two different needs: some felt leOra was too conversational, making quick tasks feel longer, while others wanted more conversation and guidance when they needed to talk things through.

To address this, leOra combines Quick Plan for fast, direct guidance with Companion for a more conversational, chat-like experience.

Users can also switch the tone between Friendly, Supportive, and Direct based on how they want leOra to respond—giving them control over the kind of support they need in the moment.

NAVIGATION + PERSONALITY

Users found it time-consuming to access Today’s Plan and Replan within long conversations. The side drawer makes both actions quickly accessible without scrolling through the chat.

RESULT + WHAT’S NEXT

leOra AI moves a student from a disrupted plan to one realistic next step — while the product experience stays supportive, light, and stress-free.
